Early morning, I love that time of the day! Captured on the shores of a small lake called "Uitgeestermeer" in Holland. This area of Holland is below sea level and has many small lakes, farm land and is protected with dikes against the sea. The plant captured in this picture we call "Berenklauw" (bear claw).

March Clouds Panorama
The winter has given us its last tweak, time to prepare for spring. March weather however can be very changeable with wintery showers and impressive clouds. This week we had proof of that with promising clouds in the evening. Unfortunately the sky was playing it hard. A massive cloud to the west was obscuring the clouds I wanted to capture. Only for a short moment I was able to capture a shot but still quite a distance away. With only a 16-35mm lens at hand, it was not entirely framing the shot. The colors were nice thou. I opted for a panoramic view to get rid of the uninteresting blue sky at the top. A day later, I tried it again but the clouds were certainly not as impressive as the day before and the ones which were there died out entirely later that evening. Hopefully, I will get another change before spring is really taking over. www.zenfolio.rpgraphix.com

Early morning, I mean realy early, to catch the sunrise in the green hearth of Holland. The magnificent sunrise I hoped for didn't come but it was still a tranquil morning.
Vogelmeer Kennemer Duinen
This lokation in the Kennemer Duinen (National Park near Haarlem) was visited earlier this month under harsh light. I knew it would be a perfect location for a morning shoot and so I went. Woke up at 04:15 and hoped for some morning mist. That could have been better but still I'm happy with the shot. A location to visit more often.
Sunrise at Dwingelderveld
The nights are getting longer and the time to get up in the morning is bearable. This wonderful display was taken from a bird watching hide-out overlooking one of the small lakes in the National Park Dwingelderveld in Holland.
The forrest with the dancing trees. Only the straight trees were used for building houses leaving the odd shaped trees behind. Now this forrest is renowned for their dancing trees.
We found this hidden gem in the forest we often visit. Its part of the dunes area at the dutch coast. The morning was damp and everything was wet. The colors came alive with great contrasts.

The rich and famous 17th century traders from Amsterdam bought their modest countryside houses near Hilversum for pleasure and hunting. Now the area is open for the not so famous for their pleasures such as walking and horse riding. The end of fall is nearing but still very pleasing.

Spanderswoud, a forest in the Amsterdam area. A great location for a variety of woodland each with their own character.
Besides the famous bluebell forest of Halle, Belgium, the Netherlands also have bluebell forests on a smaller scale. The hight of the season is two weeks later than Halle. These ones are photographed in a grassy patch, hence the fuzzy look.
